Children's Mental Health Week is run by children's mental health charity Place2Be, the theme this year is Find your Brave. Bravery comes in all shapes and sizes and is different for everyone, it can be about sharing your worries and asking for help, trying something new or pushing yourself outside your comfort zone. Being 'brave' can build your confidence, self-esteem and make you feel good about yourself.

Over the years, Safer Internet Day (SID) (link to SID) has become a landmark event in the online safety calendar, with schools across the world getting involved to create a safer environment for all online. It's now celebrated in over 150 countries worldwide. From cyber-bullying to social networking, each year Safer Internet Day (February 11th) aims to raise awareness of emerging online issues and chooses a topic reflecting current concerns, this year having the theme of Free to be me: Exploring identity online.

Chinese New Year, also referred to as the Lunar New Year, is the Chinese Festival celebrating the new year on the traditional Chinese/Gregorian calendar. It’s a major holiday in Greater China and is celebrated in several countries. Here at 2Simple, we celebrate Chinese New Year using Purple Mash, with a huge variety of resources and activities to use in your classroom to ensure your pupils learn about the importance of this festival for many cultures across the world. This year the festival will be celebrated on Saturday, 25th January.
