Bett is back!

Nov. 10, 2021

What is Bett?

The leading EdTech trade show in the UK is back and we’ll be there! Bett 2022 is a free event that is taking place from 19th to 21st January 2022 at London Excel. Last year the show went virtual and attracted over 33,000 visitors and 800 exhibitors from 123 countries. Now it’s back live, it promises to be bigger than ever!

Bett is free to attend so there really is no better place for educators to network, engage in inspiring content and get hands-on access to the latest tech for teaching and learning.

What we’re doing on stand

After what has been a challenging few years for everyone, we’d love for you to come and celebrate our community in person with us. We’ll be at stand NE61 in the teaching and learning area, ready to answer your queries, give product demos and just have a nice chat.

Visiting our stand is the perfect way to offer your feedback on any of our products and talk to us, face to face, about your school’s needs. We can also show you how to make the most out of your products, whether at school or for remote learning.

Pre-book your demonstration

This year we’re giving you the opportunity to avoid the queues and pre-book your product demos for specific times. Just select your slot here and we’ll see you there!

Themes: Create the Future

This year the theme for Bett is Create the Future. Below that there are six sub-themes: Leadership; Futures; Inclusion; Wellbeing; Skills, and Innovation. Here’s how we can support you in each of these areas:

Leadership

At 2Simple all of our products aim to support teachers in leading subjects, assessment processes and school development plans. We have a range of practical resources designed to help Subject Leaders in their roles, including toolkits that make auditing, reviewing provisions and developing you as a leader less onerous. Additionally, we can also support Subject and Senior Leaders in creating, managing and monitoring improvement plans across the school.

Futures

This theme promotes the development of future-ready schools, adapting curriculum and teaching to reflect increasing use of technology, and alternative models of education that use ‘future-facing learning design’. We are constantly updating our products to remain relevant in the fast-changing world of EdTech. Our most recent releases, Inspection Coach and Improvement Hub in particular, are designed to help schools and staff build development plans that are not only resilient to changes in policy, but embrace the future, whatever it brings.

Inclusion

At 2Simple we have been championing digital inclusion and cloud-based learning since 2010. That's over a decade of experience in running digital classrooms, managing homework, and supporting schools, teachers and parents. We also regularly share our latest developments with teachers at events and listen to their feedback. Together with our social media channels and dedicated Purple Mash user Facebook group, teachers are included at every step of their journey.

Wellbeing

We believe that people live, learn and teach better when they are happy. Enabling a culture of resilience in schools and supporting student and teacher mental health is critical to building a strong workplace culture and avoiding burnout. At 2Simple we have a range of wellbeing initiatives and resources for both teachers and pupils.

  • For teachers, #EduFootyAid is a national charity football initiative for the education community, open to men and women of all abilities, and is completely free to play or get involved in any other ways.
  • For children, Wellbeing Workshops are free one-hour sessions designed to inspire self-belief in children and offer practical tips for developing mental resilience. The free resource pack contains all the information teachers need to run a session, which can be done anywhere with enough space.

Skills

From students to school leaders, we are always looking to develop teachers' skills and confidence. In addition to a wide variety of CPD options and an active Purple Mash Facebook group, we also work to ensure our products are well-suited to upskill everyone who uses them. Two of our products were recently recognised for doing just that:

  • PE and Wellbeing platform Striver aims to improve primary aged pupils' long-term physical and mental wellbeing. We do that by ensuring children of all abilities feel motivated and engaged, and teachers of all experience levels feel confident and in control. The package covers EYFS to Year 6 and was recently awarded 3 stars in the Teach Primary Awards.
  • Meanwhile, interactive coding environment Python in Pieces was designed to build student and teacher confidence in the text-based coding language of Python. This is our first venture into the Secondary market and came out of the Teach Secondary Awards with 4 stars.

Innovation

At 2Simple we constantly work to make sure everything we do is the best it can be for teachers, children, and home-users. Whether it’s creating new events that bring people together for a good cause, such as #EduFootyAid, or providing free resources that anyone can use to improve what they do, there’s something for everyone.  We also constantly update our software and look to bring new and innovative ideas to everything we do. In the last two years alone, we’ve launched five new products that have brought something new to the table, from combining PE and Wellbeing resources with Striver, to new ways to prepare for school inspections and write improvement plans with Inspection Coach and Improvement Hub.
