Our second #EduFootyAid match is taking place at East Manchester Academy on Saturday March 23rd. Martin Bailey’s North East Elite, the current champions, are travelling to face Mr P’s newly formed North West team.
The main focus of #EduFootyAid is to boost teachers’ wellbeing - using the power of football to build a community and get people active! Sadly, primary school teachers have a 42% increased risk of suicide compared to the national average*. That is why we also use #EduFootyAid events as an opportunity to raise money for Mind, the country’s leading mental health charity.
If you would like to show your support for Mind, and our players, you can a make donation online here – every penny is greatly appreciated!
All #EduFootyAid players are teachers, and there are 9 regional teams encompassing the whole of England. We already have over 150 players registered nationally, but we need more to fill all the squads. If you’d like to get involved, you can find out more here.
#EduFootyAid has only been made possible thanks to generous sponsorship from a number of educational suppliers. Massive thanks goes to The tes, BeeDigital, eSchools, Literacy Shed, and PE Passport.
