Getting ready for parents' evening

Jan. 18, 2017

We know what a busy time of year this is so we've put together some top tips to help make your life easier when planning, preparing and running parents' evening.

1. Save on preparation time

You can use the framework coverage report to quickly identify areas of confidence and areas for development for each child, while the pupil progress report can be used to quickly identify the age band that child is working at and see progression over the last year.

2. Avoid paperwork

Use iBooks and Adobe Reader as an amazing way to present your reports! Storing your learners' observations on your device means that they are all easily accessible during parents evening.

  • iBooks is normally already installed and free on all Apple devices
  • Adobe Reader is free and great for Android users

Top tip: View and manage your reports using the iBooks Collections feature. Create a new collection for each class group.

3. Create your own templates

You can create your own template so that reports and learning journals look exactly as you want them to and contain the data that you want. In 2Build a Profile, you can:

  • Add your school logo
  • Add borders
  • Change font
  • and more
