Introducing Tabletoons

June 8, 2015

We’re very excited to announce the launch of Tabletoons in Purple Mash.

Tabletoons makes learning the one to twelve times tables a truly unique, and most importantly, a memorable experience.

Compose your own times table song by mixing and matching from a selection of 17 animated singing superstars, spanning a massive range of musical styles including rock, pop, soul, rap, reggae, opera, and many more.

Use the play button below to listen to a Tabletoon we made earlier!

As well as hearing the times table sung aloud pupils will also see it displayed in a visual form. Choose a picture from the clipart gallery or upload your own image to really customise your table tune.

Both the song and the pictorial representations are forms of mnemonic device, which have been shown to increase people’s ability to retain and recall information.

Tabletoons Elves in Purple Mash

Tabletoons has been mapped around the requirements of the National Curriculum for pupils in years two to four, but children (and adults) of all ages will enjoy compiling and conducting their own times table song. Tabletoons also provides a range of games which will test pupils recall and accuracy skills.

Like all Purple Mash creations, songs made in Tabletoons can be shared online and are great for posting on school blogs, tweeting, or putting on Purple Mash display boards. If you tweet @2SimpleSoftware then we’ll happily share your song.
