Each month we will be highlighting a #MashoftheMonth, this will focus on a tool or application and how it can be used within the classroom to support learning across the curriculum. During the month, if you share how you have used #MashoftheMonth, you will then be entered into a draw to win a 2Simple Goody Bag!
The Mash of the Month for June is Serial Mash, our online library for reading and comprehension that inspires children to read. This month we are launching our #SerialMashSummer Reading Challenge.
At Serial Mash, we believe that reading is not just a fundamental skill, but a gateway to boundless creativity, learning and imagination. We want as many pupils as possible to benefit from FREE access to high quality books over the Summer Holidays and join in with our #SerialMashSummer Reading Challenge. This is an excellent opportunity to keep pupils reading and engaged over the holidays.
All schools who take part will also have the chance to win a licence for Serial Mash for a year (based on average minutes read across the school).
Serial Mash is our online library of guided reading books for ages 5-11, featuring over 200 titles including non-fiction resources from DK Learning. Teachers are able to schedule books and chapters and pupils can read books at home and in school with the added benefit of reading journals (no more looking for those at the bottom of the book bags!) saving time as well as money 😊
Each book on Serial Mash comes with a range of guided reading activities from writing to SPAG to comprehension. Serial Mash has done all the hard work so you don’t have to, and you can access all the data you need to see in one place.
Serial Mash only costs schools £200 per year (+VAT) offering unbelievable value for money. By signing up for the #SerialMashSummer Reading Challenge you can try the resources for FREE over the summer.
