Use this blog to calculate how 2Simple can help you teach maths to Primary-aged pupils. Explore our maths resources and lessons on financial literacy and financial capability. To sum it up, we've got hundreds of great maths resources!
Purple Mash contains hundreds of maths resources, all sorted helpfully by subject and age group to make it easy to find exactly what you need. Don't forget you can also use the search bar if you're looking for something specific.
When teaching Number and Place value at the beginning of the year, you'll want to make it interactive and engaging. There are lots of interactive resources which make use of our Maths Tools. Students can solve ready-made problems and calculations using 2Quiz, 2Calculate, 2Question and even 2Create a Story.
As well as pairs games, pupils can also have a go at Sequence Snake to practise counting and skip counting, and 2Race to compare numbers and for sorting odds and evens.
There are also printable number templates, including 1-20 number cards, 0-10 number lines and 1-100 number squares.

Addition and subtraction are some of the core maths skills which benefit from being practised often so that children have fluency. Use some of our games to bring maths fluency practice into your classroom - they are great for individual or whole-class 5 minute sessions. Some of them can even be set as recurring 2Dos so that children can practise regularly at home!
Bond Bubbles works well for those getting to grips with their number bonds, and Funky Platform is good for those who need to practise mental addition and subtraction from any number. 2Race can be customised to create your own game, but comes complete with ready-made ones so you don't have to reinvent the wheel!

Multiplication and Division are more key skills which are practised continually throughout school, so it's a good idea to make it as fun as possible! Try our Monster Multiplication that makes children eager to play so that they can 'level-up' their monster, or get them to race classmates in 2Race. If you're prepping your class to take the Mutiplications Tables Check in Year 4, try out our Multiplication Check Tool to simulate the real thing.

There are lots of resources on Purple Mash to teach fractions, probablilty, ratio and proportion, as well as our fractions game Fractionio's. In the game, children will serve pizzas with the correct fraction of toppings on each pizza. It includes levels for simple fractions, mixed fractions as well as percentages. Use the printable fractions resources to print out fraction walls and dominoes games that could be used as engaging carousel activities.

Use the shape paint projects with younger classes to build familiarity with 2D shapes, and develop older children's knowledge of 3D shape with the printable resources. For all age ranges there are interactive sorting games, pairs games, and you can even email a professor all about angles!
2Go is the perfect tool for learning position and direction, and then children can level up to using 2Logo to create turns and angles, and to draw different shapes using angle facts.

Uh-oh! We've come to the topic that most teachers and children find the most difficult. But never fear! There are lots of resources on Purple Mash to help you teach tricky time and maddening measures.
Begin with telling the time to the hour, half past, quarter past and quarter to, and your pupils will be moving on to 5 minute intervals in no time at all! The time quizzes for younger year groups are a great refresher, even for older children. When they're ready for it, there are resources for 12h and 24h conversions, as well as Timetables and Roman Numerals.

Along with all the usual quizzes and problem solving activities for Distance, Mass and Capacity, there are also activities such as the Weight, Height and Length Cloze to ensure children understand what they are learning.
As well as the lessons on Financial Capability within Purple Mash, Dot Com Digital contains lessons on Financial Literacy to continue children's learning about money. The lessons start in Year 2 where children learn about situations where you need money to pay for things, and continue throughout the rest of their primary years. Children in Year 6 learn about managing money and saving - vital skills for the future.
