Project packs are now available in Purple Mash, linked to popular History topics. The purpose of the packs is to provide activities around a topic that give pupils the initial work without starting from a blank canvas which can be daunting for some.

Some of the project packs we have added this week include:

• Ancient Egypt
• Battle of Hastings
• Florence Nightingale
• Great Fire of London
• Guy Fawkes
• Vikings
• World War I and World War II
• Titanic
• The Great Famine
• Spanish Armada

The activities for each project pack are slightly different but include a range of activities from using 2Connect, Developing Tray, 2Quiz, 2Story, 2Code and Logo to name a few. The packs can be found in the topic folders so can either be located by Topic or by searching for the topic that you want to look to use.

The Viking Project pack for example includes the following four activities in the project pack:

• Viking Gods and Goddesses Quiz. Children can answer the questions already in the quiz and then are encouraged to add some of their own.
• Viking Longships –  2Connect. Children can add their own research on Longships to the information that has been started
• King Alfred – Close activity. Children need to drag the words into the correct place to complete the text and then continue with it by making their own questions.
• Viking Invasion – 2DIY3D. The children need to continue building the game, remembering to give the game a title and instructions.

All of the activities within the Project Pack can also be set as a 2Do, meaning that the activities can complement work completed in class and can be used to extend the activities already within that topic.
