In November 2016 Jonny Zucker took his own life.

He was a loving husband and father, friend to all at 2Simple, and creator of the Serial Mash library.

We loved every single minute of working with Jonny, he had an incredible gift for making people smile.

It comforts us to know that children all around the world can still read and enjoy his stories inside Serial Mash.

Jonny believed passionately in the power of creativity, imagination, and ideas. He dedicated his life to inspiring children to read, working for many years as a primary school teacher before becoming a successful children’s author.

Jonny’s favourite of his own stories is a book called ‘Striker Boy’ first published in 2010.

Striker Boy is a fast paced thriller that sees 13-year-old Nat Dixon desperately trying to save his beloved club from relegation. It’s packed with action both on and off the pitch.

To honour Jonny’s memory and to raise money for the mental health charity Mind, we are republishing a special edition of Striker Boy.

The book costs £6.99 with £1.40 from every copy sold donated to Mind and the rest going directly to Jonny’s family.

The book will be launching on October 5th.

If you put your email address in here, we’ll notify you when the book is available to buy.

In addition to the book we have made two free teacher resource packs, including an Emotional Resilience pack. Find out more the Striker Boy Campaign and download the packs at
