September 12th to October 14th 2016
When children design something great in 2Design and Make, they have a new way to make the design come to life as a three-dimensional object - 3D printing! We love getting out the scissors and pritt stick* as much as anybody but we're very excited about this distinctly cutting-edge option. So excited, in fact, that we're giving away
a 3D printer.
To enter the competition, you just need to use the Purple Mash tool '2Design and Make' to create a great 3D design. It can be a bus, a house, or anything at all; if it's 3D, we want to see it - let your imagination run wild.
The winning child will receive a 3D modelling kit to take home, and their school will receive a brand new 3D printer! Two runners up will receive 3D-printed models of their work.
*Other glue sticks are available...
It's free to enter
All you need is access to Purple Mash. If you've already got Purple Mash then you can go straight to downloading the full competition guide, otherwise just click here to register for a free trial lasting for the length of the competition.
All the competition resources will be available in Purple Mash from September 9th, you’ll see it on the home screen when you log in. The closing date is October 14th!
We’re running a free webinar to make sure you’re confident using 2Design and Make. This will not only show you everything you need in order to enter the competition but also how to deliver great lessons with 2Design and Make.
To submit your work, you just need to add it to our competition display board below (we really can't wait for it to start so we've put a few of our own models up first!). Full details of how to do this are in the competition guide.
