Charity football matches for teachers

Join #EduFootyAid

Registering for #EduFootyAid is free and only takes 2-minutes. Based on your school's location you'll be put into one of our 10 regional teams. You'll get email updates about upcoming fixtures, and you can opt to play in as many or as few as you like.

Squads are large (20+) because we appreciate people won’t always be able to commit to every game. Our teams are mixed gender, age (18+), and ability, and we welcome anybody who works in a school or educational facility. We are also launching women only matches, so ladies can opt to play in mixed games or female only fixtures.

#EduFootyAid raises money for Mind, the national mental health charity. Each game has a shared £500 fundraising target that we promote via our JustGiving page.

Mental health

We're using football to bring teachers together and build communities. Teaching is a stressful job and it’s important that teachers look after their mental health, with its combination of camaraderie and exercise football is a win-win for wellbeing. #EduFootyAid matches also raise money for Mind, the country's leading mental health charity. Mind's goal is to ensure that every person experiencing a mental health problem receives the support and respect they deserve, and we think that's worth cheering on.

Support from across the education sector

#EduFootyAid has only been made possible thanks to generous support from a growing number of companies within the education sector. We were upfront with all our sponsors, explaining that we couldn't offer much return in regards to publicity. They all answered in the same way - we are doing this to show our support for teachers and all those experiencing mental health problems. Thank you, the Tes, BeeDigital, eSchools, Dunbar Education, The Literacy Shed, PE Passport, Think-IT, and Groupcall.
