While this blog and many of the websites and organisations mentioned are very UK focussed we have decided to share it because we at 2Simple South Africa are passionate about Children's Mental health and we believe it should be a focus in all schools.

Children's Mental Health Week is run by children's mental health charity Place2Be, who launched the first ever Children's Mental Health week in 2015 to shine a spotlight on the importance of Children and young people's mental health.

Mental Health Awareness Week 2021

April 30, 2021

Mental Health Awareness week, hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, takes place from 10-16 May 2021 and, the theme this year is Nature.

During this last year more of us have connected with nature than ever before, during our daily walks and being able to enjoy being in the open. One of the aims of the week is to inspire more people to connect with nature and noticing the impacts that this connection can have for their mental health. We have a range of resources that can be used during the week to encourage children to #ConnectWithNature.
