Testimonials from schools

Nov. 13, 2023

We love receiving testimonials from our Purple Mash teachers and hearing their thoughts on what they prize most and how Purple Mash benefits them and their students. Here are some received this year from across the country.

Purple Mash is a brilliant educational product that has helped our school tremendously. Purple Mash works seamlessly within the browser meaning it can work across multiple devices and has been a great support in our iPad programme in the Junior School. No longer do we need to manage apps across our devices. Students can use a variety of creative tools which support the Australian and Victorian curriculum across multiple learning areas.

The Digital Technologies curriculum has been most helpful for us and the students love it. It is so simple to use and supports ICT capability enabling students with shared devices to save their work to their very own secure cloud storage. Teachers have been able to comment on their learning and differentiate tasks. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Purple Mash to any educational institution, and I have and do regularly.

I have been using the 2Simple software now for over 10 years. I have found this software invaluable in the instruction of primary-age children. The move to Purple Mash as a cloud-based learning platform has only strengthened accessibility and engagement for all students. Purple Mash is so easily accessible and user-friendly from any type of device. The program promotes far greater independence for primary-age students; from simple picture, sequenced log-ins to a wide range of readily made resources or programs that can make resources. These programs are easy to access, complete tasks and save work for students, with large simple and user-friendly icons. Teachers can easily create, assign and mark work. The tasks are also linked to the curriculum. Utilisation of this program as a learning tool can only promote essential digital literacy skills for all students. I am positive the benefits of endorsing Purple Mash will ensure students and teachers countrywide can all succeed with digital learning.

Purple Mash is very student-friendly. Students from foundation age have an easy time signing in. There are a wide variety of tasks and subjects for the students to use. I am their Technologies Teacher, so I teach the Design Technologies and Digital Technologies curriculum. I've used it for sorting information, data collection, creating online graphs, building games for coding, touch typing, online animated books, their body, feelings, Easter, Mother's and Father's Day, jigsaw puzzles, and the list goes on. I use it on both iPads and desktops.

I couldn't believe how well it all turns out; having an easy-to-use software program helps!

At Warrenheip Primary School, we use Purple Mash from Foundation to Year 6.

Purple Mash provides our students with accessible and engaging tools to design and create their publications, artwork, games, music and digital solutions and to communicate and share their work in a safe environment.

The Purple Mash platform is an easy-to-use student and teacher friendly program that has enabled my class to easily sign in and use V9 curriculum-aligned activities and tools. My students could log in independently after their first attempt and can navigate the platform to change their avatars, backgrounds, complete 2Dos and hand in their work.

Purple Mash is a game-changer that has enabled more teachers in our unit to confidently take their students to the computer lab for technology-based curriculum lessons or use within classroom lessons via iPads. I can't wait to plan next week’s lessons that incorporate Purple Mash!!!

Purple Mash is a platform used by NSW schools I am attached to in my role as a Digital Classroom Officer. Its extensive and in-depth range of applications across all key learning areas provides a wealth of resources for teachers planning and setting activities for students, from Kindergarten to Year 6. Content is readily linked to curriculum outcomes and provides record-keeping capabilities on an individual level. Teachers and students can readily access visual tutorials on applications. Work can be shared across classes and groups while the program itself is ideal for professional development activities, either at a self-paced level or within staff meetings.

Our school uses Purple Mash in all areas of the curriculum. We use 2Connect in inquiry for brainstorming, report writing and narrative writing as a planning device.

We use many activities during group work in numeracy and literacy where the children can work at their own level.

The coding activities are a part of our STEM program. Many children use the program at home to practice the skills they are learning at school. Parents love the program and it is a big hit with the whole school community.
