Shakespeare Week is an annual celebration giving primary school aged children opportunities for enriching and enjoyable early experiences of Shakespeare. There are a range of resources within Purple Mash and beyond that lend themselves well to supporting any introduction to Shakespeare.

This year International Women’s Day falls on Tuesday 8th March with the theme #BreakTheBias. The day is about celebrating women and their achievements, whilst challenging stereotypes, bias, discrimination and perceptions. To mark the day, we have several resources and activities for you to use on Purple Mash, giving children a chance to explore and write about inspirational women from across the globe.

On March 3rd, it is World Wildlife Day, a time to celebrate and raise awareness of the world’s wild animals and plants. The theme for World Wildlife Day 2022 is ‘Recovering Key Species for Ecosystem Restoration’, and the focus is on endangered flora and fauna and imagining and implementing solutions to help them survive and thrive. There’s a wide range of educational resources available within Purple Mash that support the theme that you can use to celebrate World Wildlife Day.
